"Sailing
a boat is easy. You simply cast off, hoist the sails then
haul in the sheets until they fill and stop flapping. The
boat will then gather way and start moving through the water.
What happens afterwards however depends largely on sail trim."
- - Peter Hahne
There are several ways to sail in Cape Town and you have a
choice of doing the Indian Ocean in False Bay, or the Atlantic
Ocean. You can even start in False Bay and sail around the
Cape of Good Hope to the Atlantic. That is weather permitting...
Wednesday afternoon at the Yacht Club is a good venue to go
sailing, meet people, and have a good time. Races are discussed
in great detail but the news of the moment is the recent tragic
loss of Moquini which went missing south of Madagascar.
