Scarborough is a Conservation Village with easy
access to all shops and destinations offering the visitor
the best of both worlds.
You could probably find anything you want in Scarborough,
but you’ll need to look carefully.
Mickey’s Mouse Trap, annexed to the Camel Rock Restaurant,
can offer you essential goods everyday between 9:30 and 5:30pm.
There are two restaurants, the Camel Rock and Cobbs where
you can indulge in seafood and sea views.
The word famous luthier, Marc Maingard, lives halfway up the
mountain amidst a wild indigenous garden, and drum makers
and teachers, Ushka and Pierre Terblanche offer you a real
African experience.
African Art, collected by Steven and Juliette de Combes can
be obtained just behind the Camel Rock Restaurant where one
of Sibusiso Mbhele’s legendary aeroplanes stands as
a weather vane.
Bridgette offers a series of massages and beauty therapies
from lymph drainage to reflexology.
You could also go to Witsand and make an appointment to see
the crayfish factory.
Or else you can pack up a picnic basket and settle down for
the afternoon on the beach and watch the clouds.
Life
here is the journey AND the destination.
