The
Eastern Access
One can go on a scenic drive along the False Bay Coast via
Main Road (M4) to a turn off just before Simon’s Town
and take the picturesque Red Hill mountain route (M66) to
join up with the north bound M65. Scarborough is 2km from
this road junction.
The Central Route
The most direct way from the city is along the M3 south until
the road ends, turn right and take the M64 (Ou Kaapse Weg)
over the mountain. As you descend into the valley, turn right
at the second set of traffic lights into the M65 and turning
left again just after Ocean View. Continue for about 8km to
Scarborough.
The Western Route
The scenic M6 from the city via Chapman’s Peak is currently
open but it is sometimes temporarily closed for repairs after
heavy rains. There is signage on the road some distance before
Chapman’s Peak, which tells you whether it is open or
closed. As you descend into Sun Valley, turn right at the
second set of traffic lights into the M65 turning left again
just after Ocean View. Continue for about 8km to Scarborough.
