During
the late winter months and early spring, one can see whales
almost anywhere between Fish Hoek and Scarborough.
Best way to find out where they are is to look for people
standing on the side of the road.
If no one is on the side of the road, the telltale sign of
a whale nearby is the spurting of water from the blow hole.
Boat trip and kayaking trips can take you out into the bay
where you may well come fairly close to the largest mammals
on earth, but beware, laws prevent people from venturing too
close for safety’s sake.
